The Darkness Has Arrived.

Nearly 2 weeks on and we are all still mourning the loss of our precious daylight savings time. Sad indeed but it is not all doom and gloom as we had a pretty damn awesome jam to celebrate the end of another rad summer. With amazing weather, some pretty amazing riding and great times with some amazing people we at least felt a little bit compensated for the upcoming 7 months of early darkness and way less bike riding. Not entirely worth the trade off but it's pretty damn close. We were exceptionally lucky to have our main men on Read More...

Beer, Burritos, BMX!

When you think of epic collabs, there's some ridiculous talent in the mix. Think Danzig and Shakira, Jay and Silent Bob, Michael Jordan and Nike, Run DMC and Adidas, Stranger and Adam LZ, man the list goes on, and on.. But if there was ever a collab to sit atop Mt Collab basking in all the glory, then the Newtown trio ofYoung Henrys, Beach Burrito Co. and your favourite purveyor of BMX goodness (Hell on Wheels) is it. What all this means is that on Fridays from 12-6pm, should you be enjoying a tasty brewed beverage at the Young Read More...

West -CON- Nex

Imagine this........ A sweet, professionally designed, highly groomed and extremely fun and awesome little inner city pumptrack right here in the inner west of Sydney. Sounds pretty amazing right! I thought so too. I have been working with Marrickville council and a local legend named Peter Erling on making this dream a reality for about 5 years now. Many hours have been spent and many a meeting have been attended in attempting to get this fantasy off the ground.Things were looking good and construction was meant to have started this month. That was until that big evil road named West Connex Read More...

My Safe Word Will Be Whhhiskey

Possibly one of the weirdest and most wonderful things ever has happened here in Newtown recently and it's random-ness is sure to amaze you. About 6 months ago I started getting phone calls from a group of people who wanted to build some kind of hybrid BMX meets penny farthing kind of contraption for an upcoming whiskey commercial. After 4 or 5 confusing conversations, the calls stopped and I then assumed that they had figured that it was a stupid idea and that they should scrap the whole project.Until this appeared on Xave Koens Facebook last week.........Sooo it Read More...
